Welcome to our heritage website. St. Peter’s Church, Congleton is situated at the heart the town, just behind the High Street and a short walk from the Town Hall. It is a grade 1 listed Georgian church which stands on the site of a medieval chapel.

The growth in size and significance of the church reflects the development of Congleton from a market town to a centre of silk and textile production. -
